Maybe a complete beginner, and you want to have a safety net and job security before you venture into the internet-only marketing commission world. Or maybe you’re interested in being in the affiliate marketing scene, but you don’t necessarily want to work for yourself.

You want to work in a company. That’s great too. Affiliate marketing is a really exciting space. Obviously, I do a lot of affiliate marketing. I am running a multi-million dollar business doing this. In this article, I will be good to show you some of the top jobs you can get with affiliate marketing. Top cities where you can find these jobs. And name some of the companies, some of the top companies that are going to work in this space.

Now, if you want to know more about doing affiliate marketing specifically, it’s commission-only marketing. I’m going to post a link to one of my Filipino playlists. I will provide a link to it. So, one of the first jobs you can get in affiliate marketing is as an affiliate manager. Now, an affiliate manager is someone who connects affiliates with products they can promote. So, generally speaking, an affiliate manager will make a 10 to 20 percent commission.

They will earn 10 to 20 percent of the profits of whatever their company earns from the affiliate marketer they promote. It can be around 2% of income. Now, this only makes sense if you are joining super affiliates. Now affiliate managers intend to get involved with larger affiliates. This means let’s say, for example, you are an affiliate manager for the Uber affiliate program. If you are an affiliate manager for the Uber affiliate program, you need to find people who can send lots and lots of potential customers to Uber.

So, you’re going to contact big YouTubers, big Instagrammers, big bloggers, big Snapchatters, you’re going to contact people who have very large online presences or generally very large presences to talk about Uber’s affiliate program and join. So, that will be your job and you will earn a percentage of whatever profit Uber gets from them or whatever that commission plan is.

So, being an affiliate manager is one of the primary positions you will work in the affiliate marketing industry.

Business development is another job in affiliate marketing that you can do and earn money from. Commissions anywhere from 10 to 20 percent.

Now, if you’re developing a business, instead of finding affiliates like what affiliate managers do, what you’re doing is finding businesses that you actually want to create an affiliate offer. For example, you will work for affiliate networks such as Acceleration Partners or Commission Junction or StockSale, Avangate, etc. And you will work for one of these companies and find a business for them to create an affiliate program.

An example of this. Let’s say it goes to Dell or Hewlett-Packard. And you will call them or email them or connect with them personally at a conference or something.

You’ll say, “Hey, would you like to get more customers? You know more people who will buy your computers.” Or, “Hey, would you like more people to invest in your company?” You know, JP Morgan or something like that.

Or you can go to Kaiser Permanente or Blue Shield. And you’ll say, “Hey do you want more customers for your health insurance?” What most businesses say is, “Yeah, what are you … what do you have? What’s your idea?” You say let’s create an affiliate program for you. And we’ll have people… find affiliates and we’ll get you more customers. And you will pay us only what you believe is fair each time you acquire a customer.

Maybe it’s $100, maybe it’s $1,000 if you get a new customer for JP Morgan or Citibank or whatever. Your goal is to connect businesses and help them buy in to start an affiliate program.

Typically, you can do anywhere from 10 to 20 percent of what the entire program entails. In this case, let’s say you’re creating an affiliate program for JPMorgan. Let’s say you get them 1,000 customers at $1,000 per customer, right? It is called CPA. Now, at this point, you still have to get affiliates to promote your programs. Let’s say they give the affiliate $800 for a new customer.

So, your margin is $200. That means the company’s margin in this case is $200,000 per month for creating an affiliate program for JPMorgan. So, you will get 10% of it. So, if you got JPMorgan as a client, you would earn 10%. So, drop the zero, and if you’re the business development executive who actually helped set up this deal, that’s going to be a $20,000 per month account.

Let’s say you’ve connected the dots and made sure you work for Acceleration Partners. Once you talk to JP Morgan, you put them in touch with your development and technical team and have them do all the technical stuff. Then your company has got all the affiliates and they have done all the work.

But just for setting up the deal, you will earn $20,000 per month. This is a very realistic scenario. All figures involved are our most realistic. I mean if you could land JP Morgan as a client, that would obviously be a big deal. That will earn you a lot of money.

Now, if you pile a few more clients on top of that, and you set up some big deals like that, you can make hundreds and hundreds of thousands, millions of dollars a year. So, that’s business development. Another job in affiliate marketing is being a media buyer. Now, a media buyer, some people call it an internal affiliate. Basically, you will spend money on ads on Facebook, Google, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat. whatever. You will spend money on ads.

And you will expect your company to make a profit. Now let’s say that product advertising pays you $100. Suppose you work for organifi. That’s my friend Drew Canole’s company. And by the way, I did a great interview with Drew Canole. He has one of the best affiliate programs. I’ll have my Filipino assistants post a link somewhere here to the series of interviews I did with him on how to get that motivation to be an entrepreneur.

But if someone gets to buy their natural supplements, they get paid a $100 commission on their product. He sells health supplements. So, $100 and you buy ads. Let’s say you buy ads on Facebook and you spend $50 per customer.

You get 100 customers, right? So, you spend $50 per customer. So you made a profit of $50 per customer. And you got 100 customers. So, you add a few drops. So, you made a $5,000 profit for organifi. Now, media buyers usually get 10 to 20% commission. For the company, they work for. Now, that’s a great way. If you want to become an affiliate yourself, the best way to do this is to become a media buyer. And to begin with, because then you are actually spending other people’s money. OPM.

You spend a company’s money. You are taking no risk yourself and in the process, you are learning how to buy ads and become an affiliate yourself. Now, if you work for a company, you again take a risk. Look, you don’t get all the profits.

But you will get 10 to 20 percent commission. In this case, you will earn anywhere from $500 to $1,000 per month as an in-house media buyer. This is a great place to start if you want to get started in the affiliate marketing industry. My story, I didn’t start out as a media buyer. I started working for a real ad agency where I was managing people’s AdWords accounts. Not only on a commission basis. I managed them as an employee. I was paid about $6,000 a month.

But I was managing an ad spend of about $2 million a month. I had to spend other people’s money learning how to be a better marketer and advertise in a way that would make people want to buy things and give me their information. Now, direct response marketing design isn’t really highfalutin. It’s really … you have to be very basic but it’s great to be able to test it. And web developers. Especially HTML CSS, JavaScript, and sometimes PHP. You can work for many affiliate marketing advertisers or networks. These jobs will be in demand for them. So, some of the top cities where you can find jobs for affiliate marketing. I put the backboard.

There is a lot of space and the beach is beautiful, the water is warm. It’s just a great place to live. It is very hilly and very beautiful. Lots of nature everywhere. A lot of colleges. Big city, lots of fun, and lots of affiliate marketers and affiliate marketing companies out there. I would say the next city is Toronto.

I don’t know why Toronto has become such a big hub for affiliate marketing. But it is. There are many networks out there. Convert to media, maximum reward. I can’t even think of them all. But there are many companies out there. Internationally, Amsterdam has become the European hub for affiliate marketing. Its many affiliate networks and offers. 2 other notable cities are New York.

New York has everything. Although it is very expensive. and the Saint Petersburg area of Tampa Bay, Florida. Again, you have that great lifestyle. You have a lot of commission junctions and very large affiliate marketing companies. Now, in New York, there’s an outstanding company I’ll call Acceleration Partners… because I forget his name. But Roberts is something. They run affiliate programs for Uber, Lyft, TaskRabbit, Doordash, and really big Fortune 500 companies.
